19 August 2015, Beijing, China - President of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations, Mr. Hiroshi Yokokawa has been newly elected as a member of the IAAF Council at the 50th IAAF Congress in Beijing, China. Mr. Yokokawa comes in after retirement of Mr. Katsuyuki Tanaka from Council.

In the committee elections, Mr. Yukio Seki and Mr. Fumio Imamura has been re-elected as a member of the Technical Committee and Race Walking Commitee respectively.
